Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Yvonne G. - |Recommended: YesIt is more like an apartment complex than a traditional dorm. There's more privacy and independence. You learn how to live and provide for yourself rather than depend on the university.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Caroline M. - |Recommended: YesClose to the University of Michigan
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Jacob H. - |Recommended: YesPros -24 7 shop with things you would find in a gas station, which is really convenient.-Right across from the school-Nice marble counter tops in the kitchen and individual bathrooms-Separate ac heating unit for each roomCons -If something goes wrong, it normally stays wrong for awhile. I.E main door was broken for a few months, heating water was out for a day and a half -Cars are routinely plowed in, and getting a parking spot next to the building is next to impossible unless you are U of M Dearborn staff between 9-5 -Windows are poorly sealed and allow moisture to get in easily-so you have to run the bathroom fan to try and fix that issue-Countertops are poorly sealed and its easy to see that the job with them was rushed-Washer and Dryer rooms have almost zero ventilation, as they don't have ac heating units and windows can not be opened. Also, washer and dryer rooms in the middle of the building do not actually have washers or dryers.-Complaints cannot be made to change anything, as any compliment to a staff member will get you the response I am sorry there is nothing I can do. -Price is high if you are planning on rooming with others 640 a piece while other nearby places will charge almost half that per person All in all, its not a bad apartment complex, and its location makes it incredibly convenient. I just wish there was a way to place complaints more officially and actually have our voices heard.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Vibin S. - |Recommended: YesIt's a good deal for the money but would love a bit of flexibility in lease durations for existing residents at least as in my case I am finishing my course by fall 2014 and I'm a resident here for an year. Now I'm asked to move out for the balance four months from August as I know finding a sub lease is not an easy thing to do. Not to mention I have 6 others with me in the same situation.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by James C. - |Recommended: YesIt's very convenient to live so close to campus, but I wish the pricing was cheaper. The units are nice, and so are the study areas and victors den.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Eiman H. - |Recommended: YesIt's extra convenient. Everything, including the hospital, the mall, and obviously the school are only a walk's distance. But they need to add security cameras ASAP
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by David R. - |Recommended: YesRent It's so high, it's almost like owning a home I love paying almost 700 for a tiny bedroom, loud neighbors, an expensive convenience store, a lackluster gym with dumbells maxing out at 50, a broken lock on my door, and constant pestering about 30 from November Especially when the contract says that the LANDLORDS are legally required to ensure I have a working lock I'll pay that fee when it's fixed, buddy.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Justin Y. - |Recommended: YesI love living here because I don't have to get up early and drive to class. Living here allows me to have more time to sleep. In addition, it is convenient because it's so close to campus.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Derek K. - |Recommended: YesI like that it's close to campus but there have been a few things that have happened since I started living here that make me give it 3.5 stars. One is the fire alarm incidents earlier in the semester that were incredibly annoying, and then there was the front door to Building 3 that didn't work for half of the year when you guys knew it was a problem since day one. The parking situation is god awful, there aren't enough spots decently close to the doors. Plenty of stuff wrong with this place.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Megan M. - |Recommended: YesI really do like the union. It's super convenient to live right across the street from school in new apartments. My only complaint is that with this winter, being on the first floor with all the moisture, our windowsills got mold on them.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Lukas K. - |Recommended: YesI guess this is a pretty cool concept as the Union really hasn't had sort of incentive to market. This seems like a pretty decent Idea to get residents to do it for you
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Casey R. - |Recommended: YesIt's getting a 3.5, because it's a great place to live, but it's priced too high and has architectural issues. Other than that the amenities are well developed
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Vai V. - |Recommended: YesIts a safe and a good student community complex. They keep fun activities and help engage the students. The apartments are good and provide all the necessary comfort including furniture, tvs in the living room and laundry rooms and study lounges.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Chris P. - |Recommended: YesNot a bad place at all, pretty solid I guess. There's things to do, nice rooms, and pretty solid people. It could be better, but hey, it could be a lot worse.
Review From Modern Messagesubmitted by Tianchong G. - |Recommended: YesIt is very suitable for living here. If anything happens, such as some machine does not work, the stuff will solve the problem quickly. What's more, it is close to the campus.
