At the Union at Dearborn, we offer 12-month leases and a limited number of 9-month leases. We also offer co-living and individual leases for multi-bedroom units. Individual leasing means you are only financially responsible for your specific bedroom, not the entire apartment.

A guarantor is a parent, guardian, or trusted adult who fulfills our income and credit requirements if the primary applicant does not. You do not need a guarantor if you can financially self-qualify. Please contact our leasing office for more specific income and credit requirements.

Our occupancy limit is generally one person per bedroom. For our single-occupancy units, you may have up to two occupants, but both must be officially included on the lease agreement. Please note that we currently do not accept Section 8 vouchers at this property.

Yes, you are welcome to request a specific apartment unit or location within the community when submitting your application. While we do our absolute best to accommodate our residents' preferences, all placements are based on availability, and we cannot guarantee that we will fulfill every specific request.

If you need to move out before your lease expires, you remain responsible for the contract amount. We do not allow subletting or listing the apartment on short-term rental sites like Airbnb or VRBO. However, you can enter our relet process to find a replacement for your lease.

Rent is due on the first of each month. You can pay with a check or money order in the leasing office, or securely online with a credit card. There is no grace period past the third of the month; a $35 late fee is posted on the fourth.

Typically, no. As long as your income and credit are approved according to our rental criteria, you do not need to pay the first and last month's rent upfront. However, if your credit score falls below our threshold, you will be required to pay an additional month of rent upfront.

Yes, most major utilities are fully included in your monthly rent with no separate charge! This includes water, heat, waste, electricity, and trash. Additionally, each apartment is equipped with complimentary cable and high-speed fiber-optic internet service. There are no other hidden utility costs not included in your rent.

Yes, renter's insurance is required for all residents at the Union at Dearborn. You must provide proof of a current renter's insurance policy prior to moving in. Every apartment features a fully equipped kitchen designed for your convenience. The included appliances consist of an electric stove and oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer, and a dishwasher. Additionally, all kitchen sinks come equipped with a built-in garbage disposal for easy cleanup.

Yes, you never have to worry about finding a laundromat or sharing communal laundry rooms. For your ultimate convenience, washers and dryers are available and included directly inside every single apartment unit at the Union at Dearborn. This makes doing laundry completely hassle-free.

Yes, all apartments at the Union at Dearborn come fully furnished! Our furniture packages typically include living room essentials like a sofa and TV stand, as well as bedroom furniture such as a bed, desk, and dresser. Please contact us for a complete list of provided furniture.

Our apartments feature a comfortable and stylish mix of flooring. The common areas, such as the kitchen and living spaces, feature durable wood laminate flooring for easy cleaning. The bedrooms are outfitted with plush carpeting to provide a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Yes, all of our apartments are fully equipped with central air conditioning to keep you comfortable year-round. However, please note that our floor plans do not feature private patios, balconies, or built-in USB outlets. Residents are welcome to bring their own USB adapters for charging devices.

The Union at Dearborn was originally built in 2011. While the community has been well-maintained to provide a high-quality living experience, there have been no major renovations since its original construction. We continually ensure all amenities and apartments meet our high standards.

We want you to feel at home, but we ask that you do not make permanent alterations to the unit. You are prohibited from painting walls, installing fixtures, or making any wall holes larger than a dime. We recommend using damage-free hanging strips for decorations.

The leasing office at the Union at Dearborn is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM to assist you. For your ultimate convenience, our fantastic resident amenities—including the community clubhouse, fitness center, and business center—are fully accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

No, there are no additional fees for residents to use any of our community amenities! You have complimentary access to all communal spaces, ensuring you can fully enjoy the resident experience without worrying about hidden costs. 

Currently, we do not offer additional rentable items or extra storage spaces within the community. Storage is not included with your floor plan, so residents will need to utilize the ample closet space provided within their specific apartment or seek third-party off-site storage solutions nearby.

We do not utilize a centralized package locker system. Instead, we encourage all shipping carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, Amazon) to deliver your packages directly to the front door of your individual unit to ensure you receive your deliveries as safely and conveniently as possible.

Yes, keeping our community clean is a priority, so we offer a convenient doorstep trash valet system for all residents. We also proudly support sustainability by incorporating a recycling program into our waste management services. 

Yes, we are a bike-friendly community! For your convenience and security, we have dedicated bicycle racks located right outside the front entrance of the building. We highly recommend utilizing a strong, high-quality U-lock to secure your bicycle while it is stored outside.

The Union at Dearborn is committed to providing a clean, healthy environment and strictly enforces a smoke-free policy. Smoking is absolutely not allowed inside the apartments, communal spaces, or anywhere within 50 feet of the apartment complex.

The Union at Dearborn is a completely pet-free facility. While we love animals, we do not allow residents or guests to bring pets onto the property or keep them in the apartments. However, we do accommodate registered service animals in accordance with fair housing laws.

Currently, our property features 20-minute resident parking spaces reserved strictly for temporary use, such as loading or unloading. For long-term parking, permits, assigned spots, or associated fees, please contact the leasing office directly.
